At Discovery Summer Shrewsbury we offer the opportunity to take Trinity Graded Examinations in Spoken English (GESE). Trinity College London is an international examinations board, fully accredited in the United Kingdom as an independent awarding body. The Trinity GESE is a series of 12 progressively graded examinations designed for speakers of other languages. It sets realistic objectives in terms of listening and speaking with English speakers. Each grade contains a range of interesting subjects and linked vocabulary, grammar, lexis and function that the students use to improve communication skills. The 12 grades provide a continuous measure of linguistic competence and take the learner from absolute beginner (Grade 1) to full mastery (Grade 12).
In 2011 we entered 32 students in examinations ranging from Grade 4 up to Grade 9. All of our students passed, well done!!!
