A two part Harry Potter themed evening with an
art-based and sports-based challenge. The first team challenge demands
creativity and imagination to turn a group member into a Harry Potter character
(complete with broomstick), using only the materials provided. The second team
challenge comprises a giant game of Quidditch.
Students face the challenge in their animal groups of
creating a Harry potter character and broomstick accessory from a selection of art and craft
materials given to them.

Tom is doing some magic tricks.
Quidditch match |
Teams start along the line at their end of the pitch,
on broomsticks. The quaffle (a balloon) is at the centre of the pitch. On the
sound of the whistle, they run to obtain the quaffle and start playing. The
aim of the game is to win the most points by passing the balloon (as in
netball) between players towards their goals. The goals comprise 3 hula
hoops at each end of the pitch. Each is worth a certain number of points.
To score, there must be a player standing in one of these hoops ready to catch
the ball.
