Yesterday we welcomed our first students of the summer to Shrewsbury!
Almost of all of our students had a very lengthy journey to be with us, but were still full of energy and keen to get involved with all that we had planned. We have an amazing group of students and we look forward to the fun we will be having over the next few weeks.
The day consisted of introduction activities, such as football matches, arts and crafts sessions, and dodge-ball, where the students had the opportunity to get to know each other a little better. This was followed by an evening presentation with our activity leaders that explained what activities we will be doing everyday this week.
After the presentation, the students were divided into two teams, THE BLUES and THE YELLOWS. These teams will be competing against each other in different challenges throughout the week, all to gain points in our infamous colour war! The winners of which will earn themselves the chance to win some amazing treats at the end of their stay. One of last night's colour war highlights was 'tug of war', where the yellow team came out on top, winning three matches out of three. We are sure the blues will be ready for the next challenge...
