Welcoming new faces!

Tuesday and Wednesday were busy days of mixed emotions for us here at Discovery Summer Shrewsbury.

Sadly, it was time to say goodbye to many of our students. Every single one of them was a pleasure to have here and we hope that they have had an unforgettable experience. We wish you all the best for the future and hope to see some of you at Discovery Summer again in years to come.

On Tuesday night, the students had the chance to say goodbye at our farewell disco, which included a lot of prize giving and even more dancing. The students were also encouraged to write messages to each other to take home with them and swap contact information so they can keep in touch in the future, something we really hope they do.

But it wasn't all sad news because on Wednesday we welcomed a load of new arrivals!

This week, we welcomed a large contingent from st. Joseph's from Japan! they will be joining us for the next two weeks and we are looking forward to our time together. As well as Japan, we have also welcomed several more new nationalities; we have students from Sweden, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Morocco, and Austria joining us as well, adding even more diversity to this years course! We also have a whole new bunch of British students hosts, who will be living and learning alongside our students and offer them the chance to practise their English and make friends with British people their own age.

We wasted no time in getting them stuck in, with an evening of welcome games so new an old students alike, could better get to know each other.

Watch this space to find out how they get on!
